【Vista之家译】Windows Vista Ultimate Extras是什么？他到底有什么好“Extra”的？

所谓的Windows Vista Ultimate Extras， 可以理解成微软的增值服务包。微软对已经购买Vista高级版和旗舰版的用户的额外奖赏。微软现在已经发布了各国语言包、在线安全网上备份工具、BitLocker磁盘驱动工具和大名鼎鼎的梦幻桌面。但是，用户们貌似都非常气愤，这些所谓的Extra（额外），也少的近乎吝啬。

何谓额外？ 一、微软承诺额外作为这个额外包含尖端技术、创新的服务及独特的出版物，我们不认为语言包可以被作为独特的出版物，而且，我们也没有找到在线备份工具的创新所在。现今情况是，我们只能等待，耐心地等待微软公司的更多更新。微软曾经对高级用户和旗舰版用户做出的承诺，看来要让用户失望了。

How Extra is Windows Vista Ultimate Extras? 

Windows Vista Ultimate Extras was marketed by Microsoft to be the big differentiator for purchasing Windows Vista Premium and Windows Vista Ultimate. They have already released Language Packs, Windows Hold’em, Secure Online Key Backup Tool, and BitLocker Drive Preparation Tool and Windows DreamScene but people are frustrated about the scarcity of the extras released.    

How extra is extra?    For one, Microsoft promised extra as cutting edge technologies, innovative services and unique publications. I don’t see language packs as unique publications, neither are secure online key backup tool innovative.    As much as I would like to side with Microsoft and be patient enough to wait for more updates, I think they have marketed Ultimate way too much. Without the extras, Windows Vista Ultimate would still be purchased by Geeks given the added features it already has compared to other editions. But now, they have to remain true to their promise or a lot of people would be very disappointed.
