 随着IE 8 RC的发布，微软同时也公布了一款工具用于自定义该浏览器的安装包。Internet Explorer Administration Kit 8 RC1，因此，此工具只适用于IE 8 RC。

据微软称，该工具将适用于多款Windows系统，比如，Vista、Vista SP1、XP SP3以及Windows Server 2008和Windows Server 2003。但是遗憾的是，该工具并不适用于Windows 7 Beta Build 7000。

总计这次有四个版本发布，ENU – 英语; CHS - 简体中文; DEU – 德语和HEB – 希伯来语,

With the launch of the Release Candidate of Internet Explorer 8 Microsoft made available a tool designed to allow the building of customized installation packages of the browser. The Internet Explorer Administration Kit 8 Release Candidate 1 is tailored to what Jason Upton, test manager – Internet Explorer referred to as the last major IE8 testing milestone, namely RC1.
