罗马不是一天建成的，Rivatuner在显卡调整工具里的权威地位也不是一天树立的。Rivatuner是最强而有力的显卡微调修正工具，适用于98/98se/ME/2000/XP/2003/Vista操作系统，在大多数情况下这些改变并不能提升显卡的性能，但是它们能够提高图象显示质量和解决一些兼容性问题。它甚至于还可以串改Detonator(雷管)驱动程序的内容。

Guru3D网站放出了最新的RivaTuner显卡调整软件的2.09版，新版修正了不少bug，而且加入了对NVIDIA G96、G100等核心驱动的实验性支持。

修正的bug主要是当OSD颜色没有选择默认的时候，在DX10下屏幕帧速等的显示出现渲染错误的问题，新加入的功能主要有：

1，加入了ForceWare 175.xx系列等新驱动的支持，数据库中加入ForceWare 174.xx、175.12等版本。

2，加入催化剂8.4检测，由于ATI采用了同样的build版本，所以8.3和8.4都将显示为“催化剂8.3或更新”。

3，升级催化剂8.4 SoftR9x00破解模块（仅Win2000/XP下）。

4，更新AMD显卡DeviceID，加入X1650 AGP和HD 3850 X2的支持。

5，更新64位NVIDIA驱动数据库。

6，正式解除对RV620系列芯片的实验性支持锁定。

7，加入实验性NVIDIA G96芯片支持。

8，加入实验性NVIDIA G100（GT200）芯片支持。

9，加入实验性驱动级Quad SLI系统风扇控制支持。

10，可以检测驱动版本，显示驱动文件信息，包括了使用中的多个驱动文件信息和没有激活使用中的驱动文件。

11，加入NVAPI超频界面实验性支持，由于该界面有一些显卡例如G80不支持，所以默认是不开启的，需要通过一个注册表更改来开启。

12，加入新技术，使得软件与其他硬件检测和诊断工具更加兼容，提升启动和运行安全性。

13，更新RivaTunerStatisticsServer v2.6.0工具。

14，更新D3DOverrider v1.6.0工具。

15，更新启动和计划任务模块，更新硬件检测模块。

16，解锁G8x以及一些新显卡的SSAA和MSAA/SSAA抗锯齿模式。

17，可以使用ExternalFanControllerDetectRetry注册表项（将该项设为1）来彻底关闭外部I2C风扇控制器检测。

In addition to complete NVIDIA hardware support, RivaTuner also provides limited support for display adapters based upon ATI RADEON 8500 and newer ATI graphics processors. All RivaTuner's features besides driver-level tuning options are also available on supported ATI hardware.

Note: Windows 9x/ME is no longer officially supported since version RC15. It doesn't mean that RivaTuner will not work under Windows 9x/ME, but it does mean that RivaTuner is no longer tested for compatibility issues under these OS.

The server no longer erroneously swaps RGB components and no longer causes On-Screen Display to be rendered in unexpected color under Direct3D10 when non-default OSD color is being used.
