微软虚拟换系统部门主管Zane Adam称：“Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2008 R2将会继续免费，这次还将加入在线迁移支持。用户不花一分钱，即可享受到微软最新的虚拟化技术。”
作为Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2008的升级版本，Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2008 R2将带来性能和稳定性上的改进。
