微软声称世界上有1000多款最新的程序已经可以支持Windows Vista,但是Windows下运行的程序数量成千上万,并且,x64平台的Windows Vista连这1000多款都支持不了,更别提16位程序了, InformationWeek 列出了一份说明: How To Manage Windows Vista Application Compatibility. 主要讨论了Vista的兼容性,特别是它的程序兼容性向导,这可能对你的旧应用程序产生一点点的作用.

作为现在最大的操作系统提供商，微软每周都会通报系统更新，以及通过更新知识库，让更多的用户来维护系统。这样的举措恰恰说明，Vista这套“新衣服”并不适合人们。

"Microsoft says there are over 1,000 applications you can run on Windows Vista with few, if any, issues. However, Windows apps number in the tens of thousands.
